Dijon, capital of Burgundy : city ideally located – about 1 hour and 35 minutes from Paris by train – where historical heritage goes with gastronomy and vineyard with know-how…
Dijon, capital of the Dukes of Burgundy, emblematic city for mustard, gingerbread and crème de cassis ; Dijon, with its museums, its private mansions, its religious edifices… Classified since 2008 City of Art and History, Dijon is a candidate to be part of the world heritage of the UNESCO. With 97 hectares of preserved area, the sumptuousness of the historical heritage of Dijon is not anymore to prove : the cobbled streets or the glazed tiles remain strong images.
The destination “Dijon – Côte de Nuits” has been designated “Vignobles & Découvertes” in October 2010.
Dijon is also the front door of the most prestigious vineyard of Burgundy : the reputation of the Routes des Grands Crus brought the nickname of “Champs-Elysées of Burgundy” !
