Lantilly Castle, known as “the castle with a hundred windows”, has been constructed in 1709 by Charles de Chaugy on the site of an old fortress.
An exceptional view of the site of Alesia, the Laumes valley and the countryside can be seen from the castle.
Its English landscape park presents some remarkable trees such as a tercentenary Lebanese cedar. The flowery kitchen garden has been restored by Bertrand and Claire de Virieu with the help of the landscaper Camille Muller in 2000. It has received the 1st Prize of the Burgundy heritage for the gardens restoration in 2001and has been classified “Jardin remarquable” (“Remarkable garden”) in 2004. Its surface area is about one hectare and its walls have given it the form of an eye. No plan or picture can testify as to how the garden looked like in the past.

Open from June 1st to September 30th : Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 12 and 2pm to 5.30pm. Open all year on appointment.
