Prehistoric station of Genay

In Genay, at a place called “La grande Borne”, you will discover the curious menhir of Saint Christine. It is a block of pink granite which is 3,27m high.

According to the legend, Saint Christine was pursued by her father who pushed her to the sea filled with a block of pink granite. The stone transformed to a miraculous raft which sailed up the Seine river, the Yonne river and the Armançon river to arrive in Viserny and it used to delimit the territory between Jeux and Genay.
