Is man on earth only to destroy? Can he contribute to the overall creation of nature? This simple story is about a man who meets another man who has been planting trees for decades in the middle of desert mountains. One actor, one table and off we go to the Alpilles, towards a world that we could make so beautiful... Jérôme Robart is an actor, playwright and director. His portrayal of Commissaire Nicolas Le Floch in the television series Nicolas le Floch on France 2 brought him to the attention of the general public. His film work has been directed by Nicole Garcia, Alain Tanner and Philippe Garrel. In the theatre, he has been directed by Jorge Lavelli, Joël Jouanneau and Christophe Perton. He is also artistic director of the Compagnie du Grand Frêne, based in Morvan.
Through its productions, the company has also worked on the theme of nannies (Le Lait de Marie) and the world-famous local sculptor François Pompon. It also organises a rural theatre festival, the P'tiot festival.
