The Terres d'Auxois is famous for its landscapes, its waterways and its many hills, the curves of which shape the panorama beautifully. You're also sure to fall under the charm of its picturesque villages!
Vitteaux
It's easy to drive around it and through it, but people don't spend enough time here! Discover this village and take a stroll through its streets and alleys, which are full of hidden treasures.
Époisses
Before it was a cheese, Époisses was a charming village with the ‘Cité de Caractère’ label, where you can discover its 6th-century château, a listed historic monument, and the Berthaut cheese dairy, which keeps alive the know-how and exacting standards that go into making Époisses A.O.P. cheese.
Précy-sous-Thil
Crossed by the River Serein and bathed by the River Armançon, the town of Précy-sous-Thil is dominated by the ‘’Spy of the Auxois‘’, the watchtower on the Butte de Thil, which looms large over the landscape and marks the entrance to the Morvan Regional Nature Park.
