The eight musicians of the Scènes Occupations intergenerational troupe. Philippe Poisse (composition and musical direction), Samuel Babouillard or Raphaël Longet (sound) A ciné-concert is a film accompanied live by musicians at the foot of the screen. It creates images in your ears!
Scènes Occupations presents three medium-length films by Buster Keaton, a burlesque genius who used gags with the precision of a goldsmith. At the foot of the screen, the troupe from the Scènes Occupations workshops, made up of eight musicians led by Philippe Poisse, who composed music especially for the films.
Philippe Poisse defines ciné-concert as follows: "We, the musicians, are a means of transmission between the audience and the image. We are at the service of the image and we have to take people into the story and make sure they forget us. One of his favourite playgrounds is silent film, and in particular the films of Buster Keaton, the great comedian who reigned across the Atlantic in the 1920s". Le Bien Public.
