An extraordinarily magical lecture-show!
This "History of the Marvellous" recounts the evolution of magic over the centuries. It is enhanced by demonstrations that illustrate some of the key aspects of this history, including the transition from the concept of magic to that of illusion.
Indeed, the art of magic, which has its roots in the most remote times, has been transformed to become a performing art: that of illusionists, which took off in the 19th century and is still being renewed today to enchant an ever-growing audience.
Through five short stories, which spark the audience's imagination, François NORMAG recounts the great adventure of the "Marvellous", from prehistory to the present day.
A number of key figures in the art of Illusion are also mentioned, foremost among them ROBERT-HOUDIN, who is identified as the founder of "modern magic".
