La Petite Colombe

Sainte-Colombe-En-Auxois is a small quiet village situated in the hills of the Côte d'Or. It's only a three hours drive from Paris. It's situated on a hill side at an altitude of 400 meters. There is no house to be seen that is less than a hundred years old. In fact, most houses were built centuries ago. This is also the case with our house. It is as though time has stood still for a long time here. Sainte-Colombe-En-Auxois offers many opportunities to go for a stroll, a ride on a bike or go for a drive. Around the village you'll find many square kilometres of unspoild scenery with beautiful panoramic views over the hills and valleys. Sainte-Colombe-En-Auxois doesn't have any shops, but there is a mobile shop that passes through the village several times a week. In the next town (4,5 kms) you will find a small shop for bread and your daily groceries. A little bit further down (Vitteaux, Venarey-les-Laumes and Semur-En-Auxois) you will find bigger supermarkets and other shops as well. Between the cottage and the mainbuilding is enough space (shed) to provide you with a lot of privacy in and around the house. It is possible to sit in the front, besides (large terrace on the southern side) and behind (terrace and large garden) the house. On the right side of the house you'll find an "abri" (shelter); an extra room outside ,where you even can sit when it's raining. The cottage is appr. 60 m2 and besides the living-room with a corner kitchen, there is a bedroom (with a double bed) and a bathroom with shower and toilet. Eventually there is also a childrens chair and -bed available. The cottage is provided with a woodstove, central heathing, satellite-TV (19 channels) and wireless internet (WiFi). www.burgundygite.com
