Soucoupe volante

This saucer is the work of the artist Sylvie Fleury and is located in the city park.
Its origin:
To mark the passage to the year 2000, François Sauvadet plans to install a work of art in the town of which he is the mayor. He met Sylvie Fleury through Xavier Douroux (Mediator of the Fondation de France, responsible for the Consortium, the contemporary art centre in Dijon).
The artist then made five saucers, the first of which was installed in Anyang, Korea. It was only in July 2009 that one of the 5 saucers was installed in Vitteaux, under the chestnut trees of the park (at the exit of the town in the direction of Semur en Auxois). The inauguration took place on October 10, 2009, Bernard Paut being then mayor of the town.
